Eqiquette & What Can I Expect at a Play Party?

All of our play parties happen at Voodoo Leatherworks. In order to attend a play party you will need to go through orientation. This happens at 6:30pm the evening of our play party. Our play party is the 3rd Saturday of the month beginning at 7:00pm.

First, please let us reassure you of a couple of things. You will not be expected to play, nor will you be expected to do anything you don’t want to do. That said, let's go over some basic dungeon etiquette, and please remember...this is CoP etiquette. You may attend other organization's functions that have different etiquette requirements.

1. Do not make assumptions.
2. Negotiate all scenes.
3. Do not assume that the presence of someone at this party means they are available.
4. Do not involve yourself in a scene without an invitation.
5. Never touch anyone, their equipment, or belongings without permission.
6. Privacy and discretion are to be respected. All information about party activities, attendees, etc. is to be considered confidential.
7. Treat everyone with equal respect -- Doms, subs, and switches. Do not assume if someone is submissive that they are there to serve you.
8. Drugs and alcohol are strictly forbidden at play parties.
9. Smoking will be allowed in established smoking areas only.
10. Please agree on safe words for scenes. "Red" will be a default safe word.
11. Respect scenes. Limit conversation and screaming in the play area. Don't crowd the playing areas.
12. Respect the play space. Clean up after all scenes. Use a drop cloth when waxing. No scat play in the dungeon.
13. Dungeon Monitors have the final word on everything including the right to stop an unsafe or abusive scene. Check with the DM before any fireplay such as waxing, cupping, flash paper, etc.; piercing; or bloodsports
14. Photo and video equipment and cell phones are strictly forbidden in the play space.
